Orthodontic Module Update for Certified Dental Assistants and Registered Dental Hygienists
This is a three day lecture program hosted by Continuing Dental Education at the University of British Columbia. Like all professions, orthodontic practices and procedures have changed and evolved over the years. Depending upon staff experiences in practice since they participated in an Orthodontic Module, their understanding of orthodontic techniques and procedures may not be current. This program will provide them with an up-to-date knowledge base. The Update is open to CDAs and RDHs who have already completed an accredited Orthodontic Module. They can take this course regardless of whether or not they are currently licensed to practice, or employed.

Participants in the Module Update will attend the same lecture sessions as the participants in the UBC Orthodontic Module Licensing Program, but will not attend the clinical component of the Program. As such, there is no examination or clinical evaluation for participants in the Module Update. The lectures will be held on the UBC Vancouver Point Grey campus. Aside from the lecture component, the Update includes an Orthodontic Module Manual and extensive Lecture Notes.
